Joanne M. Cox
Age, 77 went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2012.
Joanne was born in Coalwood West Virginia. She loved sports, especially the Washington Redskins. She enjoyed cooking and watching TV but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. As a homemaker, creating special memories for her family was always something special to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence B. Cox III. She is survived by her sons, Clarence B. Cox IV and his wife, Jacqueline, Kevin J. Cox, Sr. and his wife, Joan M.; her sisters, Jeane Jones and Shirley Fletter; her grandchildren, Clarence B. Cox V., Carissa and her husband, Howard Wells IV, Rachel Cox, Micah Cox, Samantha and her husband Jeremy Aurand, Kevin J. Cox, Jr. and his wife, Janelle and Tyler Cox. Also left to cherish her memory are her great-grandchildren, Lily and Olivia Aurand, Isabella Cox and Sophia Wells.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway on Saturday March 24th, where friends are invited to call after 9:00 am. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Joanne's memory to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
